VDWS Italy was founded in 1999 in Torbole on Lake Garda thanks to the initiative of Marco Segnana and Vasco Renna, who now follow the VDWS in Italy for all legal and political aspects.
For the training of Italian instructors, a National Teaching Team was subsequently set up, now coordinated by Christian Bartesaghi, who in addition to being a member of the VDWS Executive Board is also responsible for the secretariat for Italy.
La VDWS Italia è stata fondata nel 1999 a Torbole, sul Lago di Garda grazie all’iniziativa di Marco Segnana e Vasco Renna, he ora segue la VDWS in Italia per tutto ciò che concerne gli aspetti legali e politici.
Per la formazione degli istruttori italiani è stato costituito in seguito un Team Docenti nazionali coordinato ora da Christian Bartesaghi che oltre a fare parte del Direttivo VDWS è anche responsabile della segreteria per l'Italia.

Piotr Golba
Piotr, born in 1961 in Warsaw, passed his windsurfing instructor licence in 1984 during his degree in recreational sports and tourism at the Sports University. He gained many experiences as windsurfing instructor and school manager at Poland’s most important watersport centers. In parallel, he also worked as a sports teacher. Since 2000, Piotr is member of the VDWS trainer team. Watersports and teaching are his passion. In 2010 he passed his VDWS kitesurfing instructor licence.
Motto: If you stop learning, you stop growing.

Ibrahim Chouman
Dedicated to water sports since 1990, Ibi became a windsurfing instructor, founded Egypt's first kitesurfing centre and opened over 12 water sports centres.
Today he is a docent, trainer and consultant - his kite club in Seahorse Bay keeps him connected to the wind sports industry.
