It is with great sadness and deep respect that we bid farewell to our Honorary Chairman, Thomas Weinhardt, who passed away on 12th November after a long and serious illness.

His commitment, his passion and his tireless efforts have shaped the VDWS like no other during more than 40 years. Thomas worked for many years as a school director abroad and in the Surfing and Sailing Teaching Team, not only promoting our work and values, but also creating countless friendships and connections within our community.

Thomas' legacy will live on, not only in the structures and principles he helped to shape, but also in the memories of the time we were privileged to share with him. Let us continue in his spirit and carry on what he lived and worked for.
