Dear member schools, dear members, dear friends and partners,
It is with great sadness and deep respect that we say farewell to our Honorary Chairman, Thomas Weinhardt, who passed away on 12.11.2024 after a long and serious illness.
His dedication, passion and tireless efforts have shaped the VDWS like no other in the past 40 years. Thomas not only promoted our work and values, but also created countless friendships and connections within our community.
Thomas' legacy will live on, not only in the structures and principles he helped to shape, but also in the memories of the time we shared with him. Let us continue in his spirit and carry on what he lived and worked for.
We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Katrin and his entire family.
The funeral takes place in the smallest, closest family circle. This is expressly requested.
